Dr. Emily Halsey started with Companion Animal Clinic as a veterinary assistant in 2015 while attending her senior year of high school at Sand Creek Community Schools. After graduating high school, she continued to work at CAC every chance she could, whether it was for the entire summer or during a weeklong holiday break. Dr. Halsey attended Siena Heights University and graduated with her major in biology and minor in chemistry the Spring of 2020. Dr. Halsey was accepted into Michigan State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in January 2020 and started her schooling later that Fall. After 8 years of schooling, Dr. Halsey is back at CAC as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Halsey is passionate about preventative medicine as well as educating her community and working closely with clients to ensure the best knowledge and care for all animals. Dr. Halsey also takes a special interest in soft tissue surgery and cardiology. When she’s not working, Dr. Halsey enjoys spending time with her husband and family and friends hunting and fishing in the great outdoors. She has two cats; Virgo and Vivian and a Golden Retriever named Kimber.
